Oh man!!? My wife would leave me. I could sweep up the shop and pick up a couple shifts at a nearby hospital. Live in your garage like Carl from Slingblade.

Daveac 04-11-2018 07:29 PM

I thought my Kinnairds were amazing but it seems you have outdone yourselves again! wow, that is beautiful. Great work guy's :)

TomB'sox 04-11-2018 07:51 PM

Wow, that is stunning! You out did yourselves again. I really like the slope to the cutaway on the FS. Is that sold or a LaConnor guitar?

nacluth 04-11-2018 08:05 PM

This guitar is destined for our dealer YourPerfectGuitar.com, so it will be available soon. It’s has the rich warmth of our FS sound that has always been my favorite of our models. Thanks for the kind words Tom and Dave.

We sure hope she will. She wanted it lighter than her baby Taylor. It’s approximately one pound lighter than that, so I think that will qualify.

Steve Kinnaird 04-14-2018 05:50 PM

Thanks, guys, your kind words are truly appreciated.

Steve

Are those bridge pin heads at both edges? How are they attached?

nacluth 04-16-2018 08:49 AM

Thanks Rye for the positive strokes. Yes we did use bridge pinheads to tie the bridge design together. We sawed off the tops of the pins and glued them first to the bridge, and then with the bridge to the top. So, currently a decent amount of surface area has adhesive on it. We thought about mechanically attaching them to make them absolutely secure. However, since our client lives 5 minutes from us, we figured we would cross that bridge when we come to it. But we don’t think we will. One of the perks of custom building - always trying something new!

WOW. Another knockout. You guys are really tearing it up this year. That Spanish cedar is incredible, and the whole guitar is (to me) very tasteful.

Guitars44me 04-16-2018 04:19 PM

Holy Cow

What a beautiful instrument! Way to go!!!

Mind blown here...

Paul

TomB'sox 04-16-2018 04:20 PM

Well, that is probably my favorite Kinnaird of all times and that says a lot!

No room for a "K" anywhere though?

Please give the new owner my number is case she has buyer's remorse and I can take it off her hands for her!

j. Kinnaird 04-16-2018 04:32 PM

Beautiful work KB west Very creative design and well executed too boot.

Daveac 04-16-2018 05:13 PM

Sweet little guitar, Steve and Ryan!

John--Here I've been thinking you were KB-East? :D

I just noticed that if you split the letters differently, it becomes K-Beast!

Thanks Jamie. The Spanish Cedar really came alive under finish. This design was a long collaboration where our client wanted to be involved in almost every step. That’s hard to do to keep a cohesive design scheme, but we are very pleased with where it ended up.

I don’t think Christie will be letting go of this anytime soon. Favorite Kinnaird? Now that is saying something because you have some of the best ever made! Actually Christie really wanted us to include a ‘K’ somewhere, and we went round and round about where to put it. The back of the peghead was the most likely place, but in the end, we were so pleased with the product as a whole that we decided to just let the label do the work.

Thanks again.

Thanks Dave. We’re hoping for a summer visit. And, we’re not done; we’ve got some lookers coming up next.

Amen! Amen! I’m going to build another one right away just because I love them. Stay tuned.

Also, we can start a bidding war if needed, but we’ve got guitars to go around. :) Of course, your Ultimate Brazilian FS is coming up soon...

If this is a choice of bindings for that back, I vote the one on the far right...if this was not a vote, I apologize for being an idiot....
