Arrow SOLD ___2013 Goodal PECJ - Master Redwood - Fort Bragg

I am reluctantly listing this 2013 Fort Bragg Goodall. With 3 Goodalls in the stable, A Jumbo on order and a commitment to buy Tom Doerr's Memphis Maple,... Something has to give . This is a "life-timers" I'm just crazy (but it keeps me from going insane).

Palo Escrito is a Mexican Rosewood and it (to my ear) is a robust rosewood with depth and clarity in the bass and a wonderful aroma as only rosewood can deliver. The Master Redwood has a lovely upper midrange clarity and an immediacy to the attack that reminds me of Cedar. Often referred to as a cedar/spruce mix – I understand why. As I understand, the PECJ was built for Healdsburg 2013 - It just has that "something." I have a heavy right hand and the top hangs robustly. Warmth, Immediacy, sparkle... Yeah, really. But it has the tenacity of Spruce when you dig in. K&K PWM.

Specs are direct from Jean Goodall via e-mail.

PECJ6203 (completed on 7-08-13)
• Palo Escrito Rosewood Concert Jumbo Guitar
• 25.5"scale
• 1.75”width
• Grade AAA Palo Escrito Rosewood back and sides
• Master Redwood Top
• Abalone Rosette and Slotted Diamond Fretboard Inlay
• Gotoh 510 Gold Mini Tuners w/ Mini Ebony Buttons
• East Indian Rosewood Body, Headstock & Fretboard Binding
• Ebony: Peghead Veneer, Bridge, Fretboard, bridge pins & end pin
• Bone nut & saddle
• Mahogany satin finish neck
• Clear Pickguard Ameritage w/ Humidity Control Guitar Case

Excellent condition, the Redwood has some player wear north of the low E near the saddle. I tried to capture it in the photos but it’s hard to get. 2 pin side dings in the upper bout were also impossible for me to get in pics. I have played this guitar robustly and the top is really opening up nicely. Meticulously humidity controlled. This was just set by Marc Babin who has done all of the setups for me and installed the K&K, in fact, he's the only guy that I have used for years. He is top-notch! Babin Guitars.

This one plays effortlessly, is comfortable to hold and is very responsive and soulful. You will be happy. $5,000 Shipped and PP’d in the lower 48

I have over 15 years of 100% positive feedback on Ebay as "notdacoach." I also have the original shipping box from Goodall. In 30 years of horse-trading, I have never had a damage claim on anything.

Pics were taken today (6/20) – If you saw my former listing, I have decided to keep the HRCJC.

The next pic is the best shot I could get of the play wear. You have to get the reflection just right. I will post more photos below so ....scroll down

Goodall Concert Jumbos in these wood combinations will make excellent "all-round" guitars, usable for both fingerstyle and playing with a pick. This body shape/size is comfortable to play and hold, yet it produces plenty of volume and projection.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks Martz,

These are dread-killers. So comfy with the pinched waist, yet so responsive due to the Goodall build. I will definitely own another Goodall RSW at some point, I'm just having a mid-life crises with the blondes right now

These are great guitars - Going to Marc Babin this morning for a buff and check on the setup. I think they're perfect but I want them to be beyond perfect for the new owners.

Bump for two amazing small-shop (just James and Luke) Goodalls. Not many of the current Fort Braggs on the market - for good reason.

I'll be posting better pics by this time next week. CJ's are a perfect balance of finger-style and flat-picker.

Love my RGCC (2010), Ft Bragg, Master grade redwood Goodall.
Incredible tone alert.
James knows redwood.

Mine has IR and it has his signature feel and overtones but with beautiful clarity.
Impressive balance and equal response across the 3.5 octaves, as well.

Nice one! Someone will be happy.

I haven't tried this wood combo from James but it sure looks darn good! If I didn't already own 2 CJs, I probably wouldn't be able to resist this one. Somebody's going to get a great Fort Bragg Goodall!

This is a great wood combo. The Palo Escrito is what I would call a "Big" Rosewood sound with great clarity in the bass and the Master Redwood is warm but punchy. No harshness anywhere and it doesn't overdrive like cedar.

All IMHO.
