Default D'addario Pro Arte Dynacore

I received a couple of sets of these a few weeks back from D'addario to preview.....they were releasing them at NAMM.

I've used regular and composite Pro Arte's exclusively for the last few years after trying out many other brands, and always kept coming back to the D'addarios. I use normal tension 90% of the time, and this review is comparing most closely the set of composites I just pulled off to the Dynacores.

In comparison, the Dynacore's basses seem pretty comparable to the others, maybe just a bit more meatiness in the fundamental (a good thing to my ear!)
The biggest difference I'm hearing is in the titanium trebles.....they seem to have a good bit more sustain and volume. They is also a smoothness and balance to the trebles I'm finding very pleasant. There is no need for the composite G string with these.....the titanium exhibits no "tubbiness" or intonation issues. They are also visually attractive with the look of tinted glass

Overall very happy with the tonal properties......if you are searching for a string that makes you smile, you may want to give these a try

Interesting, I will have to give these a try. I love the sound of the Pro Arte Extra Hard tension Bass strings but I do not like the trebles at all.

Thanks for the review, I've been wanting to try these. Do you feel the titanium trebles have a simlar tension feel to the regular nylon and composite trebles under the fingers?

Hard for me to say for sure as they are a different animal altogether. If I had to guess, I'd say maybe a little less tension. I think there is a comparison chart on the website you could check out.....

T2 is the carbon, or titanium string Daddario put out,, but only as
treble e and b,and g strings sold only as indiviual strings.
I think what this dynacore string is, is packaging the pro arte
bass strings with the t2 trebles, which is the first time both
were avalible in one set.
hope that explains it.

I think this may be correct. Unless Daddario altered their titanium trebles some, I'd bet that they are using the same T2's. This Dynacore set could be good for me as I use my classical to flatpick celtic and medivel/renaissance tunes on. The brighter tone could be beneficial for my style.

I'll make sure Don Dawson sees this.....he'll be able to clear up and answer any questions....

Yes, I meant the treble set.
I am still trying to figure out what basses are put into Dynacore.

The Titanium trebles are the same as the T2 strings, but we now laser sort them in the Dynacore sets, ensuring 100% precise intonation, much the way we do in for our Pro-Arte sets. We will also be sorting the singles, as well, but currently they are not sorted. We'll be starting this hopefully in the very near future.
