Lightbulb The Coming Taylor Parlor Model

Has everybody read the story about Taylor making guitars from the last of the Liberty Trees? Interestingly, it will be parlor guitar. (According to the story these special editions are at least 2 years away)

Now what do you think the chances are that Bob Taylor would make this special edition the only parlor guitar they build. All the time, the research to get the 'Taylor Sound' in a Parlor, the engineering to be used only for a single guitar? I don't think so.

Recently, Bob was a guest moderator on Acoustic Guitar Magazine's discussion forum. I posed this concept and he basically confirmed my scenario.

What do you guess for a sequence number?
x11, x13, x16...

x11 sounds good. x13 for the classical. x16 for the bari...

Looks like I'll have to make some space in the back room...at least I'll have a couple of years to do it!

Wonder what happened to the classicals? I hear they had some prototypes till Chris Parkening stopped by with a couple of his guitars....... I think this was several years ago....

Yeah.. What happened to the classicals? I'm first in line to buy a Taylor classical.

Didn't Victor Wooten play one on the second Sounds of Wood and Steel? Can I special order one of those? hehehe It really did sound great!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that building known as the 'Baby Factory' is also intended to handle development production and the classic was scheduled to go in there.

But it's also my understanding that it isn't intended to be a true classical but a Taylor look, feel and action nylon strung guitar.

Yes, Victor and his brother Reggie played a prototype nylon string on Wood & Steel 2. You will notice that Taylor calls it a nylon string. So, I am guessing that it is more Taylor styling with nylon strings. Rather than a traditional classical guitar...Can anyone say...Breedlove?

I didn't know Breedlove made a nylon string. Cool! I'll have to check that out.

I don't know but this thread is 11 years old! Must be a record.

Actually, there was a 35th anniversary parlor a year or two ago. (very $).
