With the way the "industry" is now, people are caring less and less about cover art due to digital downloading. My $.02 is to suggest to do something simple that could be recognizable on an iPod screen. A really cool cover doesn't sell records that much anymore.

As for me, I'd want a cool cover whether it contributed to the bottom line or not. Of course, I would want to make sure it was suitable for display on an iPod screen.

This has NOTHING to do with being an "album" cover. This is more for us and for some promotional things that newspapers, etc. need.

With that being said - it probably needs to work well as a black & white photo.

Looks like I just got my "Duh!" moment out of the way today! Sorry! For some reason I thought you meant album cover! My apologies.

I've done those before, but I don't think that any of the bands I've been in have done a particularly good one. Most definately do black and white. Just remember, no brick walls, train tracks, and/or abandoned buildings. Post whatever you come up with!
