L1 Pro8 Compact Line in volume levels
I just bought one for my acoustic act ( two vocals / one guitar ) and I really love alot about it. In my attempt to avoid using a mixer , I have been plugging the two mics into the XLR and my guitar into channel three (line in)
My guitar is a 00028ec with a K&K mini The signal chain goes to a LR Baggs Align EQ (set on max gain) into a Red eye. In the loop of the Red Eye is a MXR 6 band a LR Delay and a tuner. Problem is I feel even with the Align Eq on high gain and the Red eye with boost on , I feel like the guitar still doesn’t get as high as I’d like in volume (Level on the Bose Channel three is maxed. Any suggestions to get more gain from that input. |

As a follow up if anyone else comes across this. I worked this out by just using my board for vocals and then plugging my guitar into the Bose L1 mixer set for an instrument levels.
Sounds great and has lots of volume now. Oh well I guess that’s what I get for trying to “eat soup with a fork” |

I own a Bose L1 Pro 8. I think you are asking the Aux channel to be more than it was intended to be. Use a Mixer is probably the answer. Wish that wasn't the case. I get great sound from my acoustic with Baggs Anthem into the Bose Channel (1 or 2) directly and I opt for the tone match "Baggs iMix" setting for my guitar. Sounds amazing. But the Aux Channel? Never tried it since it lacks reverb or EQ. Probably not the right tool for the job, best guess.
