I don't post very much but I've found this group to be thoughtful, informative and fun. I hope that it keeps the tone it has while it will undoubtedly mutate and evolve like everything does. My guess is that any passerby would enjoy it.

Imo, the personality of the CF forum has been pretty consistent since inception some years ago. In its early days, there wasn’t a whole lot of participation (many of the CF fans were tending to frequent the now defunct McNichol CF forum and eventually joined here) and there was some discussion that a CF focussed subforum wasn’t necessary. Thankfully, it was allowed the time to mature (even if the regulars haven’t).

This forum is growing as is the range of composite materials and models from the builders. I really believe that this forum has contributed in a positive way toward relative acceptance that composite guitars deserve to considered as serious instruments. The evidence of this is that it is extremely rare for anyone to bash composites as cheap, plastic guitars. In fact, quite the opposite. For some time now, they are often referenced as viable options in the General forum threads.

It’s all good. The banter here is lighthearted, well-intended and fun. Keep it up!

And hay, I was once a newbie here, and Kramster didn't scare me a bit.
Well...The Kramster terrifies me!!! Nightmares of scantily clad beauties with carbon fiber guitars haunt my dreams...er...perhaps that's not exactly a nightmare though...nevermind...

It's great to see the activity here, other guitar forums I frequent seem to have 2 new posts a week. I enjoy the humor greatly.

A 7 day calendar ain’t much use to me; leastways not once I’ve mastered those other three chords.
In fact, my repertoire is already up to 5 chords, so,,, pretty much got all the tunes covered now

Such a dreamer... I had some of the same dreams and visions... till I shot them with a Canon...and a Sony.

Nylon, obviously. Not as scary as steel.

Try an Optima No.6. Classical Guitar, 24 carat gold, natural carbon fiber. Beautiful, even sound good. Life is good, but as my nephew says, getting expensive.

At this point it seems impossible to stop perseverating.

Been wanting to say that in a coherent sentence. Carry on ...

OK, mission accomplished. I am scared, so you can take off your masks now.

...OMG!!! Those aren't masks! I am outta here...
