What's the oldest Electric Guitar you own?
As the title says, what's the oldest Electric Guitar you own? My oldest would be my first electric, a Series A Strat type guitar I got back in 1987. I still have it but it's not worth playing compared to my other guitars.
My oldest "great" guitar is my 1999 Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus that I bought new. |

Dru, I have an 88 Strat plus in mint condition, 88 Tanqueray Strat of which there were about 100 built for the Gin company, dead mint with the original strings still on it. I recently sold a mint 87 E series Strat made in Japan. I have been downsizing. -- Darwin

Sweet. Gotta love both the SG and the LP. Are they stock pickups? What are they? |

'93 LP Studio Wine/Gold. Stock except for a Golden Age roller bridge, an RS Guitar electronics upgrade under the hood, and I changed the A5 to an A2 on the bridge to smooth it a bit more. I love it.

I have an original Danelectro 59, the double-cut with two lipstick pups, just like Jimmy Page used to play. Date unknown, but it's an old one.

I have a Thinline Tele made in either 1968 or 1969 (can't tell exactly which year because Fender overlapped serial numbers in these two years). I bought it from the original owner in 1976.

Currently it's a 2011 Gibson SG '60s Tribute.
Oldest I've ever owned was a 1952 Les Paul. |
