Default Gibson L-00 Vintage cut through saddle

I started messing with the saddle (I know, I know), then noticed that the bridge slot doesn't look flat all the way through. Two holes are pre-drilled for an undersaddle pickup, and the slot seems to ramp upward toward both ends, presumably to account for the thickness of the pickup wire. Anyone else ever see this? Reckon it's going to the repair shop...
