Default I Don't Care Who You Are, This is Funny

If you haven't seen the movie, you won't get it.

sorry, i have not seen the movie, so not sure I get it.

He is in a drive-thru at a business which tries to serve customers as quickly as possible, taking longer than he should to order and delaying those who are possibly behind him, and he clearly takes up the employee's time with his attempt at humor.

Sometimes the attempt at humor at the expense of others may work, however in this case I came away less impressed at the attempt, however I did come away with a greater respect for the employee. Also, kids in the back seat observing Dad's attempt of humor may come away with the idea of disrespecting anyone they don't know as okay. Sorry, just my take on this one.

yes, I noticed that as well, but was not sure if they had initially intended to go inside and change their mind, hence the the child unbuckled. When you look through the rearview window, it may or may not be the roof line of another vehicle behind them, hence my comment "delaying those who are possibly behind him". We were not there, so we will never really know for sure.

Humor at the expense of others you do not know does not always go over so well. If this guy has done this before and he knows the folks in the store, no issues, but if his idea of humor is to try this on the unsuspecting employee, video it, well, I don't get it.

still, on the seatbelt issue, if you are making a video for youtube, as i suspect he was, you should cover those details.

didn't seem to me like the fellow taking the order was in on the joke. having said that, it didn't seem like the joke was on him, as most people wouldn't be able to understand what that customer was saying. it would appear it was for the wife and youtube audience, who could empathize with the starbucks employee while getting a kick out of the sling blade impersonation.

as hhp would say, it goes to show that comedy is harder than it looks.

This is much funnier, if I do say so myself. http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=371761

WARNING! If you are offended by satirical humor and/or 4-letter words, do not look for the video mentioned in this thread!

Personally, I didn't think it was funny at all...and I saw the movie. But, y'know, I'm not 14.

Didn't see the movie, but I highly doubt it's my kind of movie. now Cheech and Chong is a different story... just as silly, but definitely funny.
