What about a walnut LG-2?
What if Gibson did an LG-2 size but with the woods and appointments of a J-15? With a J-15 price.
Would you be interested? What do you think it would sound like in the smaller body?

Yes ! I have thought about that. I love them both and have thought a walnut Lg would be super.

I've posted that very thing before. I'd love to see them do that. But with Gibson filing chapter 11 it may be a while before we see any new guitar models come from Bozeman.

Thanks guys.
If the three of us just stick together I'm sure Gibson, Chap. 11 or not, will have to follow through on this.

I would love to see a walnut LG2. They had a banner model a few years back. It would be cool for them to do a banner model with Walnut. I hope they pull through the mess with better acoustic models than ever. From my perspective they are already tops in acoustic guitars. I have been a fan since I was just a youngster. I have three and would have a dozen if I could afford them...

They did a full mahogany version that I stupidly passed on when one became available. Next time...

I love my recently acquired J15. It's a forever guitar for me, I think. But I wonder how that walnut translates to a small body. I'd think it would make the top end too bright and crisp--maybe good for fingerstyle, but not such a great strummer. That said, I'd certainly audition one to see if I'm wrong!

Maybe, maybe not. Just so long as a long as they named it something other than an LG2/3. Then again, I never thought I would see the day when we were offered a natural top J-45. But it is their company and they can call the guitars whatever they want.

A few years back Gibson did an all mahogany reissue (many say the tone of mahogany and walnut are not that dissimilar). I wish I bought one. I loved the one I did play at Russo's:

I came close to buying one of the Banner LG-1 reissues. Considering how rare the originals are my passing on it can be attributed to going through a stupid period.

YES - I'd be in for one of those. The Mahogany one sounds cool too.

And what about a hummingbird and a dove and a j200 in walnut at J15 prices? No, thought not!

I would love to see an LG-2 Custom Rosewood done up like the 2016 j-45 Custom Rosewood I have.
I wonder if Gibson would do a one off custom shop for me and if so, what it would cost? Hmmmm.......
