Smile Yamaha LL16M with LR Baggs Anthem + Red Eye

I am really loving the sound of my fairly new Yamaha LL16M. I had the anthem installed.
Today I tried it out with my Red Eye preamp, it sounds amazing. Plenty of warmth and bottom end..
The Red Eye is so good really makes you find your sweet spotato easily.

The LL16m are very well built. Great neck.

Hi! So it's not true that you only gain using the Red-Eye with passive pickups?
I have a Taylor 314ce with LR Baggs Anthem installed and planning to buy the Red-Eye as my DI.

Should I give it a go?
