Default Original: "STRUTTIN' SNOW ANGELS"

Looks like a tough winter for '18! Here's one from a few years ago.......from the CD "Open Doerr", played on my Doerr Legacy Select. Fun song to play!

Happy New Year!

That was fun, Fred! Very lighthearted piece considering the cold weather you are having back there!

Have a great new year!

Thanks, Glenn! I appreciate it.....it is fun to play. The tuning for this is a bit unusual.....I'm in standard tuning but capo on the 4th fret all but the high e string. My Shubb is able to do this if carefully applied. This gives the b and e strings a kind of "drone" effect and there are some interesting sounds to be realized. One or two of my tunes use this approach.....can't recall where I learned of the tuning.
All the best and thanks again
Fred

Thanks, Barry! Glad you enjoyed.......I have several tunes in this tuning......in fact I think I'll re-mix one other one today and post it soon. An older piece from the CD "Sounds from the Heart".
Happy New Year!!

Thanks eyesore! Yes, it's one of mine. This tune sort of "popped out" a few years ago while I was working on something else! This sometimes happens and I know when to "go with it"! LOL!
Thanks for taking a listen!

Thanks, Bob! Anything I can do for the cause of a little warmth......I'm all for it! LOL! One more to come in this tuning that I'll re-mix.......will post in a few days, I'd guess.
So glad you enjoyed and thanks for writing!

Hey, that's very nice. Great foot-tapper and I agree with Kev... the little walk down is used perfectly. I really liked it.

Listening while I'm watching a beautiful snowfall...

Thanks so much, Kerbie! Glad to add effects while that beautiful snow is falling. At the end of the piece I tried to do that quick run and then put emphasis on the sustain and holding it.....as if the snow angels suddenly departed and melted away leaving a question as to whether they were ever there in the first place! . A little symbolic, but the thought was there!
Thanks again, enjoy the snow!
Fred
