Default NGD: Introducing the new Emerald Custom Shop Select Series

Dear AGF members,

We are proud to introduce you to the Emerald Custom Shop Select Series, a new collection of instruments hand-selected by Alistair every month.

The Select Series will showcase the variety of custom options available to our customers from Emerald Custom Shop from veneers, scale lengths, hand-carved headstocks fan-fretting and much more.

Each collection will be announced in our new newsletter at the beginning of the month and will be available for immediate purchase and shipping, saving you the usual five-month lead time for a built-to-order Emerald Custom Shop model.

If you want to keep informed on our new monthly series and other news from Emerald Guitars, make sure to sign up to the new monthly newsletter on the link below.

One of the many options we offer is choosing a ‘Woody’ veneer from collection of select veneers sourced by Alistair from all over the world. To kick off our new series, Alistair chose a beautiful bird’s eye maple veneer with vintage amber burst and gold Gotoh tuners on five different instruments from our standard range - an X7, X20, X20-12, Amicus and a Balor Bass! For full details go to the following link http://emeraldguitars.com/custom-gui...v=d2cb7bbc0d23

We look forward to bringing you lots of exciting collections as part of our Emerald Custom Shop Select Series.

Kind Regards,

Sean

This will be a great addition to your already stellar lineup and a chance for someone who does not want to wait for something custom & different.

Thanks to everyone on the Emerald team for listening to what customers want!

This is such a great idea - a custom without the wait... for those who get right on it! Gorgeous instruments!

Did I miss the detail specs? Scale? Which pickup? It certainly could have been a miss on my part - I am trying not to drool on the keyboard.

Congrats on the introduction of this series.

Jim

I signed-up at last week at the Emerald website to receive email notifications each month about the select series.

I just bought the X20 which is an early retirement gift to me (if I can ever leave my students). I will be putting up my 2-month old X20 Opus for sale soon if anyone is looking for one.

Got my email overnight with the link to the new Select Series. What a great idea. I'll be in big trouble when they get around to exposed CF in green. (The wood veneer is certainly lovely, but I really like seeing the CF weave). I did notice that the double-neck Chimaera is not part of this month's new series.

These are some pretty special carbon fiber instruments.

Hopefully, Rahn will post about his experience with his new Custom Shop Select Series on the CF sub-forum.

Rahn, you must have jumped right on it - an hour or so after I opened the e-mail, I saw that you bought the X20. Was it the look? Did you call Emerald to find out the particular specs? Inquiring minds want to know.

I was actually planning to order a custom X20 when I really retire (which was supposed to be last year) and when I saw that one available I went for it since I have no patience.

I was thinking of getting a Lucky 13 but I'm very happy with my X20 Opus. Once my tech gets it setup the way I like I'll just have my boat/camping guitar with more bling and who doesn't like more bling.

That Select Series group is a beautiful sight, with those stunning wood grain tops, and I bet they are all play as good as they look.
I can attest on how well my X7 Artisan Amber plays, and was so impressed, I recently ordered an Emerald X20 Artisan.
I genuinely like the appearance of the Amber color weave of my X7, but IMHO those gorgeous Select Series wood grain tops are significantly more attractive.
It looks like a great start this year for Emerald Guitar.

Not only are the guitars great, but the playing (AND singing) in those videos are excellent! Love hearing the Irish music, being an Irish lad me-self....
