Sounds like the OP was thinking he was buying a WS1000, not the less expensive AWS model.

old thread, but I have one on the way and without electronics!! they do have a truss rod, accessible through the sound hole. really excited about receiving this one

If you're buying used, the older necks don't have truss rods. However, on RainSong guitars, the truss rod is only there for changing the relief to suit the player's preference. The neck is more than stiff and strong enough to be fine without one.

And I've heard of very few people actually using the truss rod to change the relief. The majority of action adjustments can be accomplished with the nut and saddle.
I've had my OM1000 since '01, no need for any relief adjustments. For the last couple of years, I've tuned it BEADF#B, medium strings; it's the instrument in my song, below:
