Default Bach prelude cello suite - an attempt

I was actually recording samples of this guitar because i was going to sell it since I rarely played the classical guitar since I got it.. But after playing the guitar for a few hours, i was really digging the tone...

Anyway I recorded this - first attempt at playing this piece in its entireity.

Maybe there are some mistakes, but I love it and I admire you for making the attempt, well done. Very nice playing, what guitar are you playing?

Regards, Howard

Ditto this. And what mic and DAW setup did you use? The tone of your guitar is very good and the sound clear.

Thanks guys!

The guitar is a cordoba c10 cedar/rosewood - strung up with daddario pro arte carbon strings in high tension. These strings really boost the clarity of this guitar.

The recording setup is really simple, an old zoom h4n using on board mics pointed at the 10th fret about 10 inches from the guitar. I then move the wave file to garage band to add a a little reverb and a tiny bit of compression.

This has been my main recording set up- if you look at my other sound cloud videos all the recent posts were done with this same setup. Mostly steel strings though.

Thanks for posting, I've played that piece over the years and you've inspired me to finish and record it. One comment is that you dramatically speed up the ending which is a real tempatation because its the exciting conclusion.

Yes!!!!! I know I get really quick towards middle and on- I've only started playin classics guitar not even a year ago- I took a huge break from the classical for a few months too.

I definitely need to work on tempo!
