Default If your room just sounds really bad...

If you just can't seem to get a good recording and your strong suspicion is that your room treatment isn't working optimally, you may want to consider this option:

Shows that where's a will there is a way. I've heard that cars are a pretty good acoustic environment, at least for listening. Also show's that its the song and the musician that makes the music...and this song was only so so. But amusing.

No, cars are not a good listening environment - you have small speakers and unless you have a subwoofer, they only will produce frequencies down to around 80Hz. Manufacturers have optimized things for producing sound in a little enclosed box with lots of reflective and absorptive surfaces, but not ideal at all - but it can be a great place to check your mixes, because you are familiar with how music translates in it.

What we don't know is the amount of processing it took to get that recording that good and how much all that gear cost. I suspect the cost of room treatment would pale in comparison.

I didn't get to the music, all I could hear was the slap slap of his chops as he chewed on whatever it was that he was eating! Can't stand the sound of people chewing with their mouth open!
