Default Huss & Dalton TOM - brazilian

Mint Huss and Dalton Traditional OM with brazilian back and sides and red spruce top. Special order Flamed Maple body and fretboard binding with snowflake fretboard markers.

Guitar has never felt a pick nor been out of my smoke free home. Always kept properly humidified and no sign of scratches or anything I can see. I haven't even ever inserted the strap pin. I have only played it wearing sweat pants and shirt with no buttons or zippers. And only fingerpicked.

Tone is heavenly as you would expect with a piano like crystal clear separation of notes. Guitar is everything I ever wanted. Except one problem.

I am afraid to take it out to play in public. I am paranoid as it is such a beautiful instrument. Which is why it is for sale.

This link is to the dealer I purchased it from in Tempe AZ (new) with professional pictures. I am also including some photos I took with my lesser camera-fu. I have references on The Gear Page as Jimmybcool and I am certain that anyone on the Thorn guitar forum would vouch for my integrity since I own 11 of his guitars. Location is Scottsdale AZ for any local buyers who want to see before purchase or if you have a guitar playing local friend I can meet.

I'm not sure what these go for now but I'm guessing if they still have any brazilian of this quality it would be over $8000. I'm asking $5700 which includes paypal fees and shipping to lower 48.

Thanks for the interest. BTW I will undergo surgery November 12 and be unable to ship for likely 2 weeks. Maybe longer. Just saying.

Very nice instrument. I see your point about not wanting to take it out. Probably not paranoid. I'd like to have it, but then I'd worry too ...

I was going to install a pickup and take this out this but it is too nice. Someone needs a home keeper or is willing to gig with it.

Default hey scottsdale

pinetop here. that is a gorgeous piece of wood. I have the hond rose andi top in this model, couple of days ago a friend whom is magic fingerstyle played it in my front room, I sat there spellbound, and he opined as how it might be the best "new" (it is about 6 years old) guitar he ever heard. hd makes great instruments, their custom om models go beyond great into stratospheric. good luck with sale and keeping AZ acoustic :-)

Unhappy ps-

I picked up a martin ooo 15sm for that very purpose, playing out, ham handed friends, my own clumsiness, all told and loaded with an anthem I have I think 800 bucks in it. unless you are playing some pretty big gigs with racks and sound guys imo there is a point of diminishing returns for an amped playout, a fun easy little guit to play. grab it on the bed, take it to the gig, no worries. of course, I dropped the hd om out of the case first week I had it, put a big old bonk in it, was sick, got over it. what ya gonna do?

Thanks guys. Yeah, it is nice but too nice for me and the crowd I hang with. So I'll bump this up and see if the weekend crowd is looking.
