I find that the cover does rob you of tone and I wish I didn't have to use it. But the sound is still acceptable.
Thanks. The SECOND notch filter on the Equinox saved me with my Lyric.

@ Steve aka Mr.Fix-it:
Quoted from customer comments on their website:
"lute hole cover does a fine job of reducing acoustic feedback, and the light version doesn't change the "unplugged" sound much at all."
Cheers!

Maybe somebody could invent one with adjustable louvres so you could open it up when playing acoustically. Made with very thin plastic to minimize the dampening effect. Somebody do this, get rich, and report back please.
Hi Steven...

I use a lutehole-cover when I cannot control feedback…

I've discovered with my K&K dual source rigs, I need to invert the phase of the mic with covers in. That may be because the mic sits about ½ - ¾ inch below the top of the guitar.

I've only had to use a lute hole cover 4 or 5 times in the past 8 years, but carry them in the pick drawer just in case. And I run the internal mic at 55-60% by volume and the pickup the rest...

Notice how my luthier had to sand out the area where the neck invades the soundhole on my Bashkin to get the cover to fit. Took him maybe 30 seconds on his belt sander.

Larry thanks for that thought, I just installed a MiniFlex 2 mic into a guitar and so far so good but that's a good fail safe. Plus the guitars look very nice.
