Another vote for the red: its time, man!

And the Sitka on my F1 is ALL you say!

Does he get a stipend every time a F-1 race car makes a lap at a race? I think I would have had to challenge that guy and call his bluff. That just sounds too fishy.

BTW! I vote for the Eucalyptus too.

Paldao gets my vote, mostly because I've never heard of it and I'm curious.

Anything named for fitness1 gets my vote. He has helped so many of us Tech challenged AGfers over the years...

I am voting for the maple! But they are all very pretty, and I am sure any one will be a killer axe!

Cheers

Paul

Yes - definitely the Eucalyptus - looks great.

And the "whole story" about the F1 was this - a friend had an FS and he wasn't in love with the neck profile, so he'd asked you guys to build a new neck.

Steve and I were talking on the phone and he was pondering what to do with an additional neck - that's when I mentioned building a bare bones mahogany instrument to possibly use as a Road Trip instrument when there were a few builders here doing that.

One of these days I'll have one of these -

Updated vote total:

Red Eucalyptus: 13
Maple : 3
Paldao: 2 (one anonymous vote)

We'll see what the Sunday voting crowd brings.

Looked like the shape you'd outlined. I have to vote for the Paldao...and to inlay a big F1 in the fretboard. The crowd: "Call their bluff, call their bluff, call their bluff!"

If they make a stink, reinlay a 'u' over top! OK, I didn't just say that.

I'll go for the Quilted Bird's-eyed Maple. That looks pretty special.

Red Gum! It's pretty... and I've frankly never seen it before so that alone makes it worth a shot.

I love the red gum, so that gets my vote, though all of them would be nice. As for the name I like the C&D! only, provided that the name is explained as part of the sale of the guitar (and future incarnations of the model). That is only to stick it to the originators of the C&D order in the first place.

It would be interesting to see how the Eucalypt works as a sound board, too, but it may be just too fragile.
