Crap, I would have gone for that had I known! On the other hand, its only 10 watts more than the D6-8 and I only hear out of one ear anyway. I still would have gone for the bigger system though!

Thanks for that, but why wait until April to release info on a product that is already in production phase? With the entire first batch already sold? How many speakers? And how big are those speakers? Seriously EAE, get your marketing together, no seriously.

I don't know I am liking the d6-8
the a6-55 (if i am understanding the number nomenclature)
would be lacking the digital mixer which brings so much
versatility to the d6. Also 55 ?? is that 50 wats
and their 5.5 inch speaker?? I think i might prefer the 8.
Anyway I've asked these ? of EAE. they seem pretty quick to
respond. i've also requested a pdf if available., stay tuned....

ok here is what they said

2 x 5 1/4" woofer, 2 X 1" tweeter - in stereo.

It is basically a 2x an a2-5. The A2-5 is available now.

Weight is just under 30LB.

i think i'm still liking the d6-8
there were some of these a6-55 sold at namm.
they also said they may post info on their site
within a couple weeks as there has been a lot of interest
in this amp. They can be preordered. He said they may be able
to expedite the ship date if they get a lot
of preorders. Not sure what the advantage of
2 x the speakers will gain you over one 8 inch.

Default Elite Acoustics Engineering D6-8

Yes, I confirmed that it is not the D6 mixer as well.

No speaker pole mount either. I always put my D6-8 up in the air on a stand. Not too high. Just about stool height. I would be worried about it being knocked over if it was on a stool though.

I’m still happy with the D6-8 after all!

as i have not heard either i would still think that you could get
more bass response out of the d6-8 . always
been my complaint with my Aer c-60-3.
Is the pole mount a standard support stand width. The pics
look like a smaller stand (diameter)
Also does the mixer in the d6-8 have the ability
to eq the extension speaker or aux send separately. In a larger
room could i use my qsc k10 as an extension without
having to bring a mixing board to eq the k10?

Default Tomorrow!

Hi tomorrow i get my Elite Acoustic D6-8 amp. Can you guys tell me your favorite settings on the amp?

I will play acoustic guitar on one channel and have a RODE-NT1 mic on the second one. Warmth in the sound, sing and songwriting with fingerpicking, slaps etc. Is what i like any tips for this type of playing?

All thats good!

Can't help much with your settings. Your rig and my rig are different .But rest assured the d68 will get you the sound you want. You can then save your
Settings as presets and recall at a gig
And do minor tweaks for the room.
For me I use the amps comp and gate which helps with overtones.
EQ is generally low cut around 110-180. Boost a bit of low . Mid is
Cut pretty hard around 700k. High cut at 10k and boost the highs to my ear. A bit of verb and delay. Ymmv of course.
There is a signal meter. Definitely use it to set your gain.or it will
Distort.

Start with everything flat. Only change what needs to be changed.

Why would you want to use a RODE NT1 for live gigging? I think this is gong to be a nightmare trying to keep this mic from feeding back. It's really not designed for live performance.

Hi I dont. Will use it at home for recording.

Another question, im new to the amp tech but i cant seem to get the guitar to play from the amp. I use:

Cordial CXI 3PP Sky, Professional 3m Instrument Cable, 1 x 0,22 qmm, Overall diameter 6,1 ± 0,2 mm, mono jack
6,3 mm -> mono jack 6,3 mm, capacity 130 pF, conductore resistance 85 Ohms/Km, Neutrik connectors, colour :
Sky

To connect into the "instrument channel" from my guitar. Then i push the button for "instrument input" add some gain and volume but it wont make a sound. The mic input works fine.

Something im missing?

All thats good!

All thats good!

Like carving a decoy from a cork block.
Just take away everything that isnt a duck.. or take away everything that doesn't sound like your guitar...
You may have to add as well...
