Don't know if this would be too high for you....but here is a no name brand 12 string for $75.00 BIN...though you could probably pick it up for fifty bucks....I don't see anyone jumping on it. It would be about what you would pay for a pedal...and you would have the real thing. http://cgi.ebay.com/JB-PLAYER-JB-20-...1%7C240%3A1318 Someone already asked this question about a year ago on this forum! http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=110272 From what I can read on the net....it is kind of like I asked about a all tube amp for acoustic guitar...there is simply no such animal. Same goes with a 12 string simulator....the Zoom A2 does have one apparently, but people that have used it say it does not do a very convincing job...but they go for $99.95....and at that price, you can get a cheap 12 string guitar and be done with it! If you are still wanting a pedal that Electro Harmonix micro-pog sounds as though it is about as close as you are gonna get! BUT...they are $209.25....so they also are expensive! For a hundred dollars more, you can get a brand new 12 string Ovation applause. http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/p...tar?sku=516979 Last edited by mycompany1; 11-18-2008 at 04:52 PM. |

Too Tall
When playing in churches (which are usually keys/piano dependent) I like to capo anyways as the piano/organ and keyboard all share the same frequency spectrum(s) as the acoustic guitar. All these instruments are all playing in the same AIR SPACE. THere tends to be no separation and unless you have a top notch sound man (he can separate the frequencies a bit) it becomes difficult to "listen". Playing with a capo is quite easy once you get the hang of it and it is actually alot of fun experimenting with. Using three acoustics is possible. Watch a Hillsongs video. They usually have at least two or three acoustics playing and they may all be playing with capo's at different positions. Give it a try ! ;-} |

The Zoom A2 ($100) has a twelve string patch that sounds pretty good. The manual explains how to acheive it using their detune function.
