Do they have a good selection there? I could drive to Farmville now if I had a snowmobile.

Pretty good. They have the Legacy (raw and CB), the OX, Cargo, X. Unfortunately they don't have the GXi, that's what I wanted to try in the beginning.

I will tell you though that they have a nice, handbuilt guitar by Augustino Loprinzi that I almost bought because of an unreal price. They've had it for 2 years so he's eager to make a deal. I almost bought both the CA and the Augustino. He has the AR-38 Dreadnought.

Had I not have my D-35, I would've bought it. It sounds just like a D35

If you're interested, PM me.

Congrats on your new guitar. I had a CA Legacy and Ox model. They don't sound like wood but they do sound very VERY good. They especially shine plugged in to my ear. If I ever get another one it'll be a Legacy Dread.

Should give the GX or GXi at least a try. They're very comfortable because of the scooped body.

New guitar are always fun sounds like you like yours. Went down to LA sales last week to try the CA's out I was impressed. They sound great for what they are. I reason for the trip was the cargo, for a little guitar not bad at all. Then I tried some of the others then the confusion, which one. The idea of having a guitar in a car and not having to worry about the weather appeals to me, unlike my Collings.

Actually, If I'm not mistaken, the 7M-CE and 8M-CE both had performance bracing but the 8M-CE had the higher-end electronics along with a rosette. The 5M-CE was the replacement for the player series.

Yup - you're right about the bracing. I found this description of the CA line up online somewhere awhile ago (thanks to the original poster)

The Cargo is the travel sized guitar. The 5-8 series represent "quality/price" so-to-speak and not size. Within each series you can order 3 different sizes:
L size("large") = dreadnaught
M size ("medium") = Grand Auditorium cutaway
S size ("Small") = Tin Body Cutaway
XS size = extra small body
C = cutaway
E = electronics
*On the 8 series the dreadnaught can also be ordered in "Vintage" or "Bluegrass"

yup correct but the label on his guitar says player so it was the model before they changed it. BUT really does not matter-- he likes it and that is what matters most!!!!

Yeah that's weird. They must've forgotten to change the label when they changed their models. Mine is definitely this one:

Series 7
Bracing: Performance Tuned bracing
Tuners: Gotoh 381
Finish: Gloss finish with Carbon Burst
Inlay: Aluminum Side Dots, top dots 12 fret
Electronics: Fishman Ellipse VT
Case: hard case
Scale length: 25 1/2
Nut width: 1 3/4
frets: stainless medium

7S-CE (X). 7M-CE (GX), 7L-E (dread)

I may have the ONLY CA that's both a 7M-CE and a GX Player One of a kind. Thanks to the poster of the info above.
