Default Help With Tabs

I'm working on For my Father by Mckee. I watch the vid of him playing it to get the timing down but it doesn't seem to be going with the tab. I'm sure it's just me reading the tab wrong. I know what the repeat symbols are. On one page it starts a repeat but I don't see the symbol that ends it. Also there are brackets over the tab with the numbers 1 and 2 above it. What does that mean? This is the first time I've had trouble reading tab. Help!

This is for Ukes, but it can just as easily be applied to guitar tabs:

Parts 3 and 7 should have the info that you need.

Well I understood what was going on in the website you posted. I tried to apply that knowledge to the Mckee tab. Still having trouble with it. It seems like the tab is a bit messier than the cut and dry example on the uke site. I may just have to track someone down and have them show me.
