For me:

Factory Elixirs (80/20s) were too thin and tinny sounding.
EXPs lost too much brightness.
Elixir PBs (what I have on now) seem the perfect balance

Glad to read string suggestions. I will have a new non-wood guitar showing up next week! Pretty excited about it.

I am thinking I will try what it arrives with for a few days, then start with my standard Pearse PB lights, and go from there. I don't anticipate trying 80/20s on it - I wouldn't expect to want/need the extra brightness.

I do have a set of Martin Monels and Pearse nickels lying around, might give those a shot, too. Anyone try nickel on their CF?
