If it hasn't been tried yet, has anyone who paid for an Early Bird Special price on a SoloAmp asked for a refund back to their credit card?

But it seems a violation of our rule #1 to be so quick to castigate him when we don't know the story... and the truth is, I have never even SEEN one of his Soloamps, let alone one for sale? Has anyone?

....
I have!!
Seriously, I saw a Soloamp set up at Corner Music in Nashville. It must have been 3-4 months ago. I was involved in other things and noticed it, but didn't note more than its relatively compact size. Later, I put two and two together and realized that was one of these Soloamps.
I know this isn't worth much, but I did see one.

According to their web site there are three places one can be seen and demo'ed -Corner Music, Nashville, TN; McCabe's Guitar Shop, Santa Monica, CA; Main Drag Music, Brooklyn, NY

It would be great if someone would hop by one of these shops and do a review of the equipment. I would love to have on if they are everything that is being claimed.

I don't see a whole lot of castigation going on here - more questioning.

If you want a history lesson, just search for 'bagamp' in this forum, and you'll see a similar story unfold from a few years ago.

Caveat emptor.

Looks like Jack is rolling again and I truly hope he is successful given the rocky start so far.

I remember a couple of AGFers bought into his first discounted offer with the promise of an April delivery. Has anybody actually gotten their hands on one of these?

Not me. I asked for information, received none, so I purchased the Fender version on sale for $399. Couldn't be happier.

As of yet.......I have not received the product, nor have I been given a confirmed shipped date.

I was one of those individuals who chose to take advantage of the "Early Bird Discount" for the product. At the time, I was quite impressed by the SoloAmp website technical discussion, and I felt it was re-assuring that SoloAmp was a frequent advertiser here on the AGF. I was then unaware of some of the negative assessments and experiences other AGF members have had regarding the designer of this product.

Since that time, I notice that SoloAmp has discontinued their participation as an advertiser on the AGF. The SoloAmp website does not seem to have been significantly updated since January 2016, except to push-back the anticipated ship date (currently July 2016). Since my initial on-line purchase, I have received no direct communication (email, etc) from SoloAmp what-so-ever.

I am not feeling a strong sense of optimism at this time.

I am curious if there are other AGF members who share my situation?

I hope that you have not paid any money up front to this person.

Correct. The "Early Bird Special" was discounted from $699 down to $499....but I had to pay at the time to get that price based on a future shipment date.

So.....I have $499 riding on this outcome.

Yikes. The fact that this person has not returned your communication attempts is not encouraging.
