Post 614 or 612?? What the difference.

I'm considering my first Taylor. After playing a 614 maple in a store...my Martin is heading straight out the door.

I noticed that there's also a 612 model. What's the difference. They look the same...most specs are only 1/2" different here and there.

Help!

Lance

The -14 bodies are a little larger (more volume, little more tonal range) than the -12 bodies. I have both kinds and both have their advantages. -12 is sure nice to hold and play in a room when i'm alone. -14 has a little more voice to it. both are great guitars.

as you probably know, the number in front of the -12 or -14 simply represents the model (and therefore wood type, inlay, etc). All Taylors are great, so whether you buy a 614 or 514 or 814 or 314..you'll love it.
