Bar Chord Shape Charts

Hey guys,

Check out these charts that I made. I wanted to put this together so that I could know a bar shape for commonly used chords that I could just place on a root note and go. I knew the shapes for major, minor, and 7th chords, but had no idea about 9th, 11th, and 13th chords. So I put this together. I tried to find a shape for each with the root note on the E string, A string, and D string. Please let me know if you see any mistakes. I would really appreciate it.

I didn't look for mistakes but I was thinking "What blue dot?"

If you use a darker blue that will help. And if somebody more musically knowledgeable than me gives it a thumbs-up I'll put it to use.

Good stuff, but (like Gary in MO) I don't see blue dots, I see very pale grey dots. A darker blue (or other colour) would be be better.

Also, to be consistent, you could add the optional 6th string note to the A-string-root shapes (same as you've added the 5th string to the D-string-root shapes).

And oh yes: don't bother with "11" or "maj11" chords. There's no call for them. At least, include 7sus4, 9sus4 and/or 13sus4, which are much more common. (If you ever see an "11" chord symbol, it will almost certainly be standing for a 7sus4 or 9sus4, because it's so rare to include the major 3rd in those chords. And I'd be amazed if you ever see a "maj11" chord symbol.)

You're also missing sus2 and add9, so you could add those too.

Really? How come? I've seen them called for.

Yeah, I'd recommend a bright traffic light green for that elusive blue dot and if you want to be really nice, give a link to a flipped lefty version.

Yea, I'm not sure why the blue dot showed up as light gray. It was blue and clearly visible in Excel when I was making the diagrams. Thanks for the feedback.
