I'm the same way Dan. I need to find a new pic hosting site so I can post some things on the AGF again.

Regarding your Gibson, sweet.

I don't currently have any electric guitars (unless you consider the pickups in two of my acoustic guitars) but the oldest one I did own, a few years ago, was a 1961 Gretsch 6117.

That would be my 1974 Gibson ES-345... was a stereo guitar when I bought it, but by now it's been neutered, had fatter frets installed, had Seymour Duncan pickups put in it, 6 position Varitone switch taken OUT (absolute tone and signal suck!), coil taps micro-switches between the tone and volume knobs, an overall "by-pass" switch where that Varitone used to be (by passes all volume and tone controls, feeds the output of the pickups straight to the amp), AND had the face routed to accept a Kahler locking-nut tremelo system (could never get the thing to hold tune until I did that!)...

An absolute "Frankenstein" of a guitar that plays like a dream, sounds amazing, gets all the tones I want...

The oldest is a 1963 Harmony Stratotone
The one I’ve owned the longest is a 1973 Sears Teisco made Hollow body.

Mine are both Gretsch guitars, a Country Gentleman and a Monkees model from the mid 60's...

That's awesome; the early days of the hot-rod kit guitar.

The Paul. I've never seen one but I've read about them. Not too many of them around. Great that yours has been gigged so much. Sounds like a lifer.

How does the walnut sound different than a standard mahogany/maple cap Les Paul? Less bright?

Mid 60's Vox Ultrasonic, with built in distortion, wah pedal, treble/bass boost, and repeat percussion. Ran that through a 100watt Traynor tube bass amp into two 15" JBL D-130 speakers. 2nd from the left on the bottom row. I bought it from a good friend in 1969. The Vox bass(top row, right end) is also mid 60s.
