My only electric is a PRS Soapbar SE. Was going to get the Gibson faded DC P-90, but this guitar has a cooler vibe and the neck just felt "right" in my hand. Plus, I've always liked the wraparound bridge/tailpiece. The Gibson neck was too thin for my taste.

So, I found a used Hamer GoldTop with P90s. They want a bit much for it. I am looking at some other Hamer stuff used. I may grab a Godin just to get the feel for the P-90 with my gear.

Hello,
I would strongly consider this Melancon P90 Pro, handcrafted by small-builder Gerard Melancon is Louisiana: http://205.214.78.138/board/showthre...?threadid=2173 I have a Melancon P90 Artist that is an incredible instrument. Check out www.melanconguitars.com. Each time you refresh the main page, you get a great pic of a different guitar. Another brand to check out is McInturff. http://www.mcinturffguitars.com/ Terry used to work for Hamer and makes some beautiful iunstruments as well. Let me know if you have any questions about my P90-equipped Melancon. Good luck, Mike |
