Default Do any CF guitars use X-Bracing?

Or any other kind of top bracing? That's my question. All the one's I've seen have a flat inner top. I know CF is stronger and doesn't "need" braces to resist string tension. But I expect that braces in wooden guitars color the sound they produce. And if a CF guitar wants to sound like a wooden guitar I would think some kind of molded brace would change the vibration characteristics of the top surface.

One of my gripes (there are many in this world) is that CF guitars have too much sustain. I like the punchy sound of a good wooden guitar best.

McPherson uses bracing for their Sable and Touring CF guitars.

Didn't the original Composite Acoustics do that too? The same luthier went to McPherson to design their CFs.

I know that Rainsong does not use bracing and I don't believe that Emerald does either. McPherson does for sure.

I believe that there was some bracing on the carbon fiber Blackbird's for voicing purposes, but not sure about new ekoa ones.

My Journey OF660 has some small "stalactites" for want of a better word that hang down from the top. I'm told they are for tone shaping:

I reviewed two nominally identical OF660s in this thread:
https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=650924

and found a surprising difference in the sound of the two guitars. I'd thought CF guitars would be more reproducible than wood. But photos of the inside showed variation in the placement of the tone shapers. I assume that was the main reason for the tonal difference and that they do in fact affect the voice of the guitar.

CA does have bracing. I didn't have a better way of getting pics than dropping my phone in the soundhole, so wasn't able to get a clear, comprehensive look, but it appears to be a bit of a hybrid: main X brace, but might be fans at the lower part of the bout. Pic 1 and 2 look like standard X bracing, but what you can see just below the bridge looks like it might be the start of fan braces. I wasn't able to get the camera any further in and still hit the shutter button.

Cool.

And an Enya X3 Pro Mini just showed up at my door. (I ordered it ). And it has, Voila !, X-bracing. And it sounds pretty guitar-like. I'm not sure on the neck for me yet. But I'll give it a few days. (I'll discuss that on another thread).

Last night a friend brought his old CA OX to the open mic. I checked it out. It does have X-bracing inside. Too bad I never liked their necks. Too thin and wide.
