Default String Tension

Will a .13-.56 set tuned down either 1/2 or a whole step produce the same tension as a .12-.53 set tuned regular (A = 440Hz) ?

I think its a little less tuned down a whole step - someone on another board did a calculation with that result. here's a link to the calculator:

The .13 tuned down will be about 90% of the tension of the tension of the .13 at normal tension.

oh, that worked well. The calculator showed almost the exact same tension for .13-.56 tuned down 1/2 step as for a .12-.53 tuned normal (A=440)

Thanks for the link
