Default New Taylor GS Mini on the way

I played a mini a few weeks back and thought it was a very nice guitar

so I just ordered one at American Musical Supply for 3 payments of $###

I can afford that with out my wife getting mad at me

seriously I can hardly wait for the Mini to get here

I'm a School Bus driver and when I'm on feild trips this Guitar should be perfect to play when I'm not busy driving!!!

mine was fine. My 816CE is a bit lower action but that also has a stiffer string tension because of longer scale length. I believe If I lowered mine it would have fret buzz when strumming moderate to agressive. The tension is pretty easy to play.

I've had my Mini for about 4 months now. It's been on one airline flight and a lot of travels around my town. I absolutely love it. The set up was totally fine. I haven't touched anything yet, which is rare for me since I'm usually a "tweaker" with my guitars.

I wouldn't bother with upgrading the saddle. Someone else here tried expensive saddles and said that the synthetic material Taylor uses from the factory was the best. I think you'll be satisfied.

Enjoy!

Congrats TaylorTele! I got a GS Mini a few weeks ago as a surprise gift from my husband and absoutely love it. You being a bus driver, I hope I don't see a YouTube vid of you playing it while driving (a new twist to the texting while driving thing). Boy, wouldn't that get the news stations going to see something like that?
