Breaking In John Pearse Strings?
As per the many fine recommendations on this forum I put John Pearse PB's on my 324 about a month ago. At first they didn't really do it for me, but now I seem to be coming around. Has anyone else experienced this?

i hated the jppb when i put them on once. but i hear everyone raving abou them. maybe there is a break in time. i will give it more time next time.
uncoated 80/20s go dead for me fast, pb lasts longer and is tougher vs my skin olis. coated 80/20s are great. i got bored of d'addario pb 12s. think i might try martin sp pb again....

I really like their strings, yet found light playing over a couple of days made them excell !!!! Not an instant gratification string

I've been noticing the same thing with PB's. At first, even when hand stretched and tuned, they just sounded yucky, but after two or three days, of light playing or no playing, they sounded nice.
I've been using 80/20's on my Taylors for years and they would sound great when new and then get dull the longer they were on. PB's, to me, seems like they need a break in period before they actually sound well enough to enjoy.
