I live in a small one bedroom apartment, and I long for the day when I can have a room or at least a whole desk dedicated to recording. Until then, how do you guys do it?

I have a 3 BR house, and since the kids are now grown 2 bedrooms are dedicated to my obsession.

A total of 22 guitars or kept in one bedroom. Can't record in there because any little noise sets many of the acoustics to resonating. As you can see, they are all well guarded by my trusty boxer max.

I record in this room, which when the door is shut makes for a nice quiet environment.

Check out the rather extensive number of home studios posted in the recording section in this topic:

I've kept things pretty simple and don't need much room. My recording rig consists of a Sony PCM-D50 mounted on a tripod. If I was more serious about all of this, I'd probably experiment more with room acoustics and such. In general, the bedroom has proven to be sufficient and is where i've done most of my recording. So I guess this is my studio...

In the attic. when I record I sit or stand a little further back than the camera position in the photo
