Fishman sent me an e-mail today stating that they had received my front panel for repair. In general, they estimate 2 weeks for most repairs. I will keep you posted here. All I can say is my SA220 was problem free for 5 years, and I sure do miss it. Played my gig this past Saturday, hauling in my old 40 pound pa head, and 30 pound speaker cabinet just re-emphasized that fact. Fortunately, they sounded ok for the gig, and got me through it.

My SA220 has already been repaired. The said it was the high frequency pot on the second channel. It's already been sent to shipping to get it back to me.
Talk about quick service! I couldn't have gotten it fixed quicker or cheaper anywhere here locally. I would have to agree that Fishman customer service is top notch!

I have not contacted them because I've been using an add-on mixer to get everything I need to out of it. I figured it was an isolated incident until I read this thread. After seeing the results, though, I may contact them soon.

Any word on how much the total for the repair worked out to (other than $100 less than local)?

It cost me $15.65 to ship it to them USPS 2 day, and insure it for replacement value of the panel ($180,) $50 for the repair, and $13.54 for return shipping to me. so total cost is $79.19.

Final post: I did get the front panel back Friday afternoon from Fishman via UPS, and re-installed it Saturday morning. The SA220 sounds great now; no static or extraneous noise at all. Exemplary customer service from Fishman. Just a little over a week for them to diagnose the problem over the phone, ship the panel to them for repair, and get it back, all for under $100, including shipping. If I could have found someone local to work on it, they probably would have had it three weeks to a month and charged me double what I paid.
Thanks again, Fishman!

Glad to hear that you have your rig back to working properly!

I assume that this was not a "Warranty" repair, right? Good to know that Fishman backs their stuff...

No, it wasn't a warranty repair as I bought the unit new back in June, 2009. I have gigged with it frequently over the past 5 years, and this is the first issue I've had with it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.
