Cool photo Geordie.

The Eastman 12er was a superb guitar, with a really full, lush tone and was one of the most playable 12ers, I've come across. real quality.

Default Wow

I have to be honest, Takamine's are (to me) the best 'bang for the buck', that being said, i'll post some pics soon of my F341, and my Takamine TF740FS(amazing). I also have a Yamaha No. 150 classical(absolutely stellar guitar), and an Epiphone EC-24 classical(stellar)...

I have just added this barely played 2004 "Non Macca" Terada built Epiphone 1964 FT-79 Texan reissue to my collection. It sounds a little tight compared to my original 62 model, but it is very well built (All solid woods and Nitro finish) and exceptionally light at just 3Lb 8oz. I fully expect it`s tone to blossom.

That looks like a clean machine! AFAIK the Terada guitars here have quite a good rep. But judging from the logo on the pickguard it made its way from Japan through Europe?

I hope it`s worth more than just the one "EURO"

Sneaky or Bananas, please guys, what do you think of this Koga (Zen-on/Morales)?
Just won the auction for 5000 yen all solid wood, a little doubtful about the neck angle but there seems to be some margin with the saddle.
Seems to always have had nylons on it, though it can take steels as well in a Dynamic Guitar fashion.
Actually i was looking for a Dynamic when i saw this.

kind of cute, eh ?

gosh, what an ugly logo, LOL

Zero fret + all solid for 50 bucks, i have some hopes for a nice little parlour guitar to hang around.
Searched the web, almost nothing about this model. According to an old catalog it would be the No43, but no info on the woods.

The guy selling had only three photos but it is very likely that the inside label looks like this, according to the scarce info i could fish :

Label picture taken from this guy ... his has a metal tailpiece (!).

Fingers Crossed

Thanks for any help

Paul

edit:

actually there's the same guitar, just with less saddle left and steel strings (worrying) for 3000 yen right now, apparently it's a No35

I recently picked up a 1984 Flambeau LFW-4. George Lowden designed MIJ guitar.
Solid tiger-stripe maple back and sides, cedar top. Slope shouldered dreadnought, 16" bout, 5" thick at the bottom, 25 1/4" scale, 1 3/4" nut.
Great guitar. I know how players tend to go on about how great a certain guitar sounds, but I must say that this is one of the best sounding and easiest playing acoustics I've ever played. Picked it up for $120.00 at a local pawn shop. What a score.

I have a Koga that I paid 100 yen for, all laminated but for that price I am happy. Guess since you just won the auction you don`t have it yet? you`ll have a better idea when you get it...then post better pics...hard to say much from those photos. But you have been watching auctions so you know there are a lot of Zen-on guitars out there.
I used to be sneaky here but couldn`t log on after some changes were made to the site so I have to change my name to bananas...one and the same guy.

Thanks Bananas,

Yes, that was just in case you knew the model, since the pics are not very informative.

Anyway, it's just a little gamble
Could be nice if poster is true when he says it's all solid wood.

I'll post when it arrives.

Cheers

By the way, since i was looking for one and will eventually get one, what are the reasonable prices for a Dynamic, according to the model.

I'm on this auction for a No20, now 3500 yen, action seems ok, 3 more days to go. Up to what price would you go ?

Thanks !

sorry for the huge pix, don't know how to reduce them.

Most I ever paid for a Dynamic was about $120.00 because it was like new condition...I since bought another, a #1, that was in ever better condition and it came in the original shipping cardboard box...and the least I have paid for one was 1000 yen, I know, crazy for an all solid wood guitar but there you go. Personally anything under 10,000 to me is a bargain for a Dynamic and the vast majority I see on line are well below that which is the reason I have so many, they are still almost completely unknown and great bargains for what they are, I have also bought some as donor guitars, not easy finding parts for them so I have purchased some that were damaged just for parts. Seems the #20 was one of the most common models since there have been so many for sale over the years, my favorites are the #40s, just beautiful and they feel a little heavier to me...I have 3 now...than other Dynamic models. Anyways, there seem to be new ones for sale every freaking week on YJ, if you miss one, there`ll be another along shortly.

I`d keep my eye on this one, or one from that series...I own both the No. 45 and No. 85...made in the early `60`s and neck are like Dynamic necks as opposed to classical type necks...but those No. 45`s are beautiful guitars, the N0. 85`s were virtually the same except they came with ivory nut, saddle and tuner buttons. But if this one is crack free, it would be a great buy...
