Default Teak????

I wonder why this is so stable for outdoor use yet never used as tonewood.

Thoughts to share?

All best,

Chris

I believe that either Gurian or Mossman in the 1970s built using teak.

My understanding is the Teak is too oily, to be desirable for instruments,
it's that characteristic that makes is desirable for outdoor furniture and
interior woodwork on boats.
