Exclamation How to hook these up? (LR Baggs Para DI, QSC K10, mini mixer)

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and I have a quick question. I am planning to purchase an LR Baggs para DI, QSC K10, and a little mini Mackie mixer to play live for my church band. I am wondering how you are to go about hooking these up? Does it go like guitar > para DI > mixer > loudspeaker? Just curious! Thanks.

How far away are you going to be from the mini mixer? Ric

I'm not sure. Maybe five feet? I honesty just want to skip amps and go straight with the QSC. I am just curious as if I should go straight from guitar into the PA speaker? Do I even need the mixer or the DI?

It would work that way, but if you are just running solo guitar the para DI and a mixer may be redundant. You need some kind of EQ, and the mixer is nice if you want to add inputs, and possibly effects. What kind of pick-up in the guitar?

This is my acoustic. I haven't changed anything on it.

And I was thinking about purchasing this mixer for EQ. If I can get by with using just a mixer and a loudspeaker that would be ideal.

You may be happy with that guitar straight into the K10. Give it a try, simple is good.
If you run a line out to the board, the sound guy can handle FOH EQ.

Well we don't have a sound guy at the moment haha.
So should I just skip the mixer all together?

The Baggs Para Acoustic DI has much more useful EQ than the Mackie mixer. If it was me the signal chain would be

guitar -> PADI -> powered speaker

If you want, you can add reverb in the effects loop of the the PADI.

The mixer may prove to be more versatile in the long run than the para DI, as the K10 is a versatile piece of equipment.
I have a pair that are used as my home stereo, solo amp, floor monitors and small PA, depending on the need.

The PADI can use phantom power, make sure the mixer you chose has P/P.

The signal chain would be Guitar->PADI->mixer->K10. I'd use an XLR cable from the PADI to the mixer for the signal/phantom power.

I recently bought a little Mackie mixer for when I don't want to haul around my Zed 10fx. I haven't put the PADI in front of the mixer yet but I did try out an MSR 10 band eq that did ok.
