Default Dr. Zhivago

From the movie, Dr. Zhivago - Lara's Theme, also called Somewhere My Love

All comments appreciated.

My arrangement is based loosely on Chet Atkins' version.
The audio is a little compressed due to the automatic gain control on the old VHS tape recorder this was done with.
I was happy with the performance though, so thought I'd share it.

Very well done! I remember "Dr Zhivago." My mom was quite the Russian historian... that movie convinced her to visit Russia during the winter which she did during the '80s. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you Kerbie. And also for the spelling reminder. I've gone back and corrected that. I saw the movie in a large theater with an excellent sound system and will never forget the experience.

Very well done on this classic, not easy at all. The VHS tape gives it a nice vintage vibe.

How can your right hand survive a song like this....

Serious classic skill and control.

Nastrovia!

Thanks themissal! That triplet tremolo is easier than it might seem.

"Nastrovia" - what a great sounding word. I don't know for sure what it means, even after googling it, heh. I'm guessing it means "cheers". Thanks again.

Me too. This is one of those tunes that, for me, just kind of takes over and plays itself.

Thanks eyesore.
