Default Boosh! New amp purchase has been accomplished.

After all the questions I asked here and all the great advice I received (thanks all) I closed on an amp today.

The play by play...

I had originally been waffling between a Fishman and a Carvin AG.
I chose the Carvin, but they became toast at the very time I placed my order. The Boss Acoustic Singer Pro moved up to tie for first place, but after a late night reviewing all the specs and recommendations, watching the videos and sucking down coffee, I started to lean back towards the Fishman Loudbox Artist Pro.

This morning I started looking for prices and availability and thought; What the hell, there's a Guitar Center 6 miles from my house. Called them, they said they had one left in the box and they told me they were in the midst of their Guitar-a-Thon sale (which I didn't know about) and there was a substantial discount.

Loaded up my guitar,
drove there,
tried it,
and buyed it.

Fishman Loudbox Artist Pro

The money I saved can go towards a harmonizer pedal later.

Now for pizza and wine.

Congrats. Great little amp. I initially had the Loudbox Mini but traded up to the Artist because I needed the phantom power for my Red Eye. I didn't get a lot of use because we also had the SA220 and never played out but it was a great amp.

Awesome. Well done.
After you've put some miles on the amp, be sure to let us know what you think of it.

Will do.

Even though I took some time at the store playing around with it (I bought my own guitar with me) I'm sure there's going to be a lot of fun playing with the settings, getting familiar with it and it's capabilities, and dialing it in.

Actually the same goes for my guitars...Even though they are both acoustic/electric, neither has ever been plugged in before. The Micro EQ on the Seagull is pretty straight forward and visible on the upper bout, but I had to pull out the instructions for the B-Band Crescent II on my Avian to familiarize myself with it's operations since there are more settings options and the controls are hidden under the top where you have to feel for them.

Hey Ohio, are you anywhere near Geneva-on-the-Lake? It's one of my mandatory motorcycle destinations every year, if for no other reason but to order a dog, fries, and a root beer at Eddies Grill.

I'm in the Youngstown area, about 70 miles due south (a straight shot down Route 11) from Geneva-on-the-Lake. Now that my kids are grown, it's been several years since I've been to GOTL. Fun place!
