Default false advertising

A few years back I bought a Taylor 814ce with a few requested modifications...the serial number said it was made in December 2012, but it was actually completed in January of 2013...so it was still considered a 2012 model...

Most manufacturers consider the "born date" to be the date the serial number is assigned. That led to some weirdness when Larrivee started building some custom runs at Oxnard and then finished them almost 10 years later.
