Martin 000-14 Custom Shop shines
I've had this guitar that I bought used in October on my birthday at Dave's. It's Italian spruce over mahogany. And it really has a depth and balance I can't gush enough about. The warm, clear & woody sustain just keeps on giving back on each note. I still appreciate those other guitars I have, but the extra gear this model has is mezmerizing and special. I feel like I'm playing and giving homage to the history of the lineage of original Martins. A great one is really a great one right? I can't bring myself to try anything but retro strings that it came with. On a 2nd set & not really sure I needed changed on those. This 000 has some punch and strums very nicely too. There's a wonderful dry round bass that disappates perfectly against the backdrop of other balanced tones. While some great guitars have been played over the years by me, faves include: (Olson, Petros, Goodall, 45 Gibson and a 34 OM that come to mind) this has a play-me-more tone that's hard to put down. The super light weight and playable size are great too. It's just a nice non-GAS place to be on a cold Iowa winter evening. Enjoy playing everyone.

Hi I’m new to the forum but been reading a long time. Beautiful martin custom OOO. I have some info for you. I traded this martin to Dave’s back in October. I was the second owner and purchased it from Reno’s music in Fischers Indiana. OOO-18 custom. They order this specific custom ( Italian alpine spruce, top, solid mahogany neck, and waverly tuner upgrades). for their shop. They can give you any info you need on it. |

I changed the strings to the retro’s and added the ebony bridge pins with abalone dots. The plastic pins were stock. |
