Default ribbons

Those are the black strips on the sides. You can see they haven't been trimmed yet.

I think Tom was thrown off by the camouflage.

Bruce has cleaned up the HHG around the spruce peone top linings, trimmed the camouflage side ribbons, installed Spanish Cedar back linings and notched them to accept the back’s ladder braces.

It looks like Bruce has named this guitar the “Oz SJ”...

Here’s the curly, quartersawn Australian Blackwood back with the Amazon Rosewood backstrip with maple purflings.

Now that the box is closed, Bruce has routed the channels and has begun to bind the guitar with Amazon Rosewood bindings and Maple purflings.

Side #1

Your labels have such a nice vintage look to them, but then again since you have been building for 40 years, they may the same as when you started building which would make them vintage haha...

While this is a larger guitar in terms of its lower bout measurements (16") it does have a narrow waist (9-1/4"). The body depth was also kept relatively modest compared to many SJ's that I see. Bruce made the body with a 3-7/16" heel and 4-5/16" end depths. He also added a subtle 5/16" wedge across the body for added playing comfort.
