Default New Amp Day! Micro Cube.

Well, sometimes a good deal lands in your lap. I was at the local shop looking at a used Cube 30 and the owner was telling me how great the amp was. I asked how it compared to a Micro Cube and he shows me an old MC in a closet used and tells me you don't want that cheap little amp. So, I ask what's wrong with it. The cord is missing and the battery cover door. Well, does it work on batteries? Sure it does. So...

I walked away with a functioning MC for $20 cash. The cable is no issue and I may pick up a replacement later sometime ($10 on EBay). The batteries stay in without the cover, but I bet I could get one from Roland if needed.

Been playing for the last hour or so and all the knobs and the such seem to work perfectly.

Not a bad haul for $20!

Todd

Nice deal. For a power cable, most guitar pedal 9v work fine.

Want cheaper? Check out the toys at the local thrift store. You're sure to find a 9v block there. Buy the toy for $1.

Batteries last a while, in these, though.

For the battery cover... Gaffer/duct tape.

I love the portability of these amps. The mobility makes it worth the expense of the batteries.

Wow! That's an amazing amp for 20$

I see them used for 75-100$. It'll suit you well that's for sure. JC clean modeling and a handy on the go amp!

I love my MC, I took it to work and showed a guy who immediately bought one. He took his to his local store and demo'ed it. The owner straight away ordered a dozen for the shop......nuff said.

Sounds like a great buy, Bone. My buddy has one of those amps and they're great to carry around with you.

Default New Amp Day! Micro Cube.

It does seem to be a quite fun amp. The models aren't bad and I am still having fun dialing into that exact tone I want. It's already proving to be quite remarkable given its size.

Hi Todd...

That is a great deal.

I use my MicroCube without any power adapter, and run it on batteries for students who play electric, and the batteries last for months.

A piece of duct tape will hold the batteries in (they will probabaly stay in place without any help if you don't bounce it around). Fun little amps...
