Default Olive wood for necks

Good Morning

I have two logs cut dried and free repeat free........

from, my back yard. Here is the history ...

"By the early 1900s, Helix Farms had become one of the largest olive ranches in southern California (many of the original olive trees can still be found in the surrounding area)."

Problem, they are heavy and located in 91977

PM for the freebie. i don't need them in a fireplace if someone wants these.
Thanks

Olive dries with a lot of degrade, is very heavy, acoustically dull, and in my experience adjusts its shape further after being technically dry, but otherwise it is a very attractive wood. I use it mainly for sculptural pieces.

There are many more things one might do with a nice piece of wood than make a guitar neck or burn it.

Before you burn it, can you please consider sending a few chunks to me? Olive Wood makes beautiful turnings. I've made some nice pepper mills from it. Would love to get my hands on some more.

Olive is a prized wood. Burning it is an absolute last resort. I’m in Canada, otherwise I’d pay to take it if in reasonably good shape.
