Hi, since you have had the RS Parlor for some time was wondering about your opinion, or anyone else that has one as well, would this guitar hold up for a main guitar in a performance setting? In with a fiddle and mandolin? I am looking for your perceptions of volume, acoustically mic only.
I am speaking to the 12 fret version. Would appreciate any input greatly. Jerry |

I have the Parlor nylon. I play every Sunday in a mix with two other guitars, a mandolin, and a Banjo and have no problems being heard. Even when everyone is really cooking the Parlor takes a push and can be heard in the mix. This is without a mic. The steel string parlor is probably more than adequate. That's my opinion, I'm sure there are others.

JerryM,
I only bought the RS parlor to be a boat and travel guitar. To my surprise it has become my main player. I love the way it sounds and feels. I've played in a couple settings where someone has come up after and described it's sound as fantastic, which really surprised me. And it's not like I don't have other decent guitars. A couple notes The Thomastik-infeld plectrums really make it...richer Love the K&K pickup I special ordered the 12 fret concert series parlor after quite a bit of research about the "best" sounding. The unidirectional top and 12fret were described as richer sounding. I now concur with that. I've compared it side by side to a 12fret concert OM and a 14 fret black ice om. To my ear and style I'll take my parlor. disclaimer...don't use a pick much
