Good start by my Habs. A deeper team and a healthy Carey Price should see them resume their early pace from last year (I hope).

Go Blues!

And I also keep an eye on the Panthers.

McDavid with another 3 point night. Shaping up to be an exciting year in Edmonton.

Bruins at Maple Leafs tonight on Hockey Night in Canada.

How you doing, JPD?

Crosby picked up another goal last night. I watched the first period and Fleury made some great saves.

Crosby's looked good. Three points in two games would suggest there are no lingering effects of his concussion. Fleury was the chosen as No. 1 star of the game last night- rightfully so. Murray is back after recovering from the broken hand he suffered in the Hockey World Cup, but the way Fleury's been playing it could be a while before he gets a chance to start more than just the occasional game.

Fleury consistently carries the team when the D isn't up to snuff. This time they have a young goalie who's ready to take over so Fleury is essentially fighting for his job. Murray needs to get in the rotation before Fluery gets hurt again.

Yeah, getting Murray some work is important. Both goalies have had more than their share of injuries over the past year. Pens will probably need both of them over the course of the season to make another run at the Cup.

Fleury played great at the start of last season too, right? The rest of the team was lousy and they were losing but Fleury saved a few blowouts.

I was all for Murray when the season started but you gotta stick with the hot hand.

Now, if only Boston can get their goalie situation straightened out. They've played 7 games and started 4 different goalies <sigh>. Injuries to your starter and backup doesn't help.

I've got November 8th marked on my calendar. Oilers play the Pens in Pittsburgh. If they played tonight it'd be a matchup of Division leaders! I'm excited to get to see McDavid and Crosby face each other for the first time in the NHL. Fingers crossed that they both stay healthy.
