Default The Sleeping Tune (Gordon Duncan / arranged by Tony McManus)

A couple of days ago I was asked by a friend and fellow AGFer to learn this tune for educational purposes. The tuning is a bit odd so I decided to put on a fresh set of Elixirs on my old Martin OM-21 Special.

I hadn't played the Martin in a long while and it took me quite some time to adapt my attack to the guitar.

In any case here's a quick recording of "The Sleeping Tune" by Gordon Duncan, as arranged by Tony McManus.

Thanks for listening.

Nice one Monsieur McLao... the educational purpose I take away from this is that you are le professeur extraordinaire. Cheers, McBerf

Floored. Mau you make me want to actually learn how to play instead of strum chords!

Well done, Mau. I've liked your OM-21 ever since I heard "Les premiers pas" on it.

Beautifully played. Enjoyed hearing the song on that guitar....there is a real boldness and immediacy to the tone of your Martin. Very nice indeed.

The man plays some fine guitar!
I think, this won't go down well that Tony McManus is a little, just a little mind, overrated but he sure has done some great stuff
Great cover of a cover or is it an original Tony McManus song?

Steve
