Default M. Arcara custom OM-18 - SOLD

This is a really nice guitar. Original cost was over $6k.
A very cleanly built high quality instrument.
Highly flamed mahogany back and sides.
Very figured Bear claw European Spruce top
Mahogany neck and Brazilian headstock overlay.
Brazilian binding and wood purfling on top and back.
Robson hand made tuners
Ebony fingerboard and Pyramid Bridge.
All hide glue construction.
Adjustable Truss rod.
Action is about 3/32 on the bass E and 2/32 high E at the 12th fret.
No pickups or pick guard.
Includes original Hiscox case.
1-3/4 nut width and 2-5/16 spacing at the saddle.
There are 2 very very small dings on the top below the bridge that are very hard to see. One very small ding on the back from a bridge pin that came loose in shipping and a small chip near the binding on the back. I can send photos if requested.
I received the completed guitar at the end on January 2017. This has a very clear tone with a rich deep bass. Beautiful woods and sound. A wonderful finger style guitar. Great opportunity to get a handmade guitar from a well thought of and respected luthier. $SOLD plus shipping and insurance that the buyer prefers. Sales in the 48 states only. Will be professionally packed. Will consider reasonable offers. Thanks for looking.
You can see shots of this guitar on Matt Arcara's website MGA guitars.

Default New price bump

Another price decrease bump. A really fine guitar that's well under the cost of a new one with the same features.

bump for the weekend - I'll consider reasonable offers. This is a great opportunity for a quality guitar built by a well respected luthier & player.

Lowered price and a great deal for a guitar by one of the newer recognized builders who happens to be a great player as well.

Portland, Maine. The Music Emporium will generally have one of his guitars in stock. More can also be found by Googling his name.

Matt shares space with several other builders in South Portland, one of whom is John Slobad, Circa Guitars.

Thanks for the post Maryc-k. Actually Matt told me during construction that,
The German will come from John Slobod's stash that he hand picked while he was in Europe a few years ago.
..
It's a really nice top and if you like bear claw it's one of the most figured pieces I've seen.
